My Story

Like many of us, I didn’t arrive at this work through a single moment of clarity, but through years of learning, unlearning, and paying close attention to what was shaping my life and relationships. This page offers a glimpse into the journey that brought me here — the questions I’ve carried, the turning points that shaped me, and the threads that continue to weave through all I do.

Where It All Started

I’ve always been someone who loves to learn. There’s something so energizing for me about taking complex ideas, finding the connections, and helping others see them too. That moment when something clicks for someone — when their eyes light up with fresh understanding — always feels like magic.

Science felt like the natural place to follow that pull. I started my academic career in bioengineering, drawn by how it combined living systems with technology and the clarity of data and patterns. But when I first encountered neuroscience, something truly lit up for me — what could be more fascinating than exploring the brain, the mind, and our behavior?

That spark carried me from Italy (in the picture you see my beloved hometown, Genova!) to New York, where I did my PhD and postdoc. I spent years recording and analyzing brain waves, developing tools to measure brain plasticity and how we learn. If you are curious about my scientific publications, you can find them here

The Turning Point: Science Meets Heart

The deeper I went into neuroscience, the more my curiosity turned toward the human side of it — the social and emotional threads that shape who we are. I found myself drawn to questions about wellbeing, empathy, emotion regulation, and how our brains support connection and healing.

At some point, I realized I didn’t just want to study how people learn and grow — I wanted to experience it. So alongside my lab work, I made a quiet commitment to myself: to seek out tools and teachers and frameworks that could help me grow, heal, and connect — and help others do the same.

Once that door opened, it didn’t close. I found myself drawn to Nonviolent Communication, yoga, somatic practices and other paths that brought together what I knew from science with the real, everyday work of being human. Little by little, a different kind of career — and a different kind of life — began to take shape.

These days, this work takes many shapes:

🌸 Workshops and Coaching for Individual and Groups

With individuals and groups, I offer multi-week online courses and in-person intensive trainings focused on empathy, self-awareness, and emotion regulation. Rooted in NVC and interpersonal neurobiology, this work explores how our inner world and our relationships shape one another — and how understanding that interplay can bring more harmony, trust, and vitality to connection.

🌍 Organizational Training and Consulting

In organizations, I design and deliver trainings that strengthen interpersonal awareness, improve communication, and foster cultures of connection — helping teams navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and align around shared purpose. My organizational work is based on the 3x3 Empathy Factors, a program developed by Marie Miyashiro, an internationally recognized author and consultant in empathy-based organizational development. The 3x3 Empathy Factors approach emphasizes participation and co-design, ensuring that each training reflects the real needs and priorities of the teams involved.

💞 Nurturing a Culture of Empathy and Trust

At heart, my work is driven by a desire to create a more empathetic and connected world, one conversation and relationship at a time. Wherever we meet — in a workshop, a workplace, or an intimate practice circle — my hope is the same: that you leave with clear tools, the excitement of new possibilities, and the comfort of knowing you’re not alone on this journey.
